Same thing in the bass Frequency.
All this at 1/6 to hide what cannot be shown.

Have you seen the room they did this in? No wonder it's a total mess...
Yes and?
The GLM doesn't make miracle: This is a typical response of a floor standing speaker, Room treated or untreated.

Have you read the review and see the curve? 200 to 400 hz where the ear is sensible.
That is obviously a room and placement problem though, not from the loudspeaker. Also personally I would call 200 Hz - 400 Hz rather upper bass and lower mids.

Obviously, GLM is not a miracle invention. This is a science forum. We don't believe in miracles!

Blame the room, not the speaker.
A science forum? It's the new voodoo for objectivists.

A scientific fact is a fact refutable. This forum must read Karl Popper.
All floorstanding speakers have this type of response.
Your last sentence is an act of worship. Science? A myth.

The stand is pretty great though. The things look great and I love that there is no backplate with plugs and multiple cables running down back. Yes those are mere aesthetic concerns. I do wish they had used the coax drivers but suppose I understand there’s a lot of value in brand heritage type products.

Some interesting facts about 6040R, compared to 8340 If we look at Genelecs own measurements:

1. In 6040R, theres a slight dip centered at 3,5 kHz, -1 dB , probably so they sound a bit ”nicer” to the ear with some recordings, than a flat response.
This tweak can also be done in all the SAM monitors, manually in GLM. One can also tweak the 6040R in GLM to be flat measuring at 3,5 KHz.

I have tried this -1 dB at 3,5 kHz in my 8340, but I think a flat response is slightly better sounding.

8340:
