Hello everyone, I was wondering if you guys had a beginner's question thread around here somewhere but I couldn't find one so here it goes.
Got two speakers coming that I want to power, currently have no audio equipment at home except for a random Sony LBT-35w.

These are the specs I managed to dig up on them (after a lot of searching):
S-P770V
Bass reflex bookshelf type, 15cm 3-way system
Nominal impedance: 8Ω
Maximum power: 100 W
Woofer: 15cm cone type
Mid-range: 5.2cm cone type
Tweeter: 2cm dome type
Dimensions: 200 (W} x 310 (H) x 292 (D} mm
Weight: 4.2 kg

These I'm not 100% sure:
Sensitivity/dB (maybe 96db)
Frequency response (maybe 30Hz to 27000Hz)

I just want something that won't suck completely until I upgrade so I don't want to spend much, was looking at some of these ali boards but I'm clueless as to how much power I really need (the power cord also affects it), so many chips to pick from as well. From what I've read it seems having less power is worse than having too much power and just dialing the volume down, but like I said, I'm pretty clueless. So far I've looked at these:
YS-XPSM TDA7498E https://aliexpress.com/item/1005008042348453.html
ZK-502MT (40w is low?) https://aliexpress.com/item/1005005881400928.html
ZK-1002T TPA3116D2 https://aliexpress.com/item/1005007539915620.html
ZK-1602T TDA7498E https://aliexpress.com/item/1005007540203116.html
there's also these https://aliexpress.com/item/1005001478037247.html

Also I don't care to have bluetooth or fancy stuff, but I need some sort of case around it and having bass/treble adjustment knobs along with the volume one would be great.
Unrelated question, I saw many 2.1 boards but ignored them because I don't know if connecting only L and R without connecting the subwoofer for now would sound worse than a 2.0 board.
Any help is appreciated.

...I don't know anything about those amps so I won't attempt a recommendation. But I don't trust AliExpress and I don't completely amplifier power ratings from anybody unless they are independently measured/verified. I've got a car amplifier rated for 5000W but I don't believe it.

That's a popular myth. A 10W amplifier putting-out 10W peaks is the same as a 100W amplifier putting-out 10W peaks.

A speaker rated for 100W is supposed to be safe with an amplifier hitting 100W on the peaks (or a 100W amplifier that's not clipping).

If you try to exceed what the amplifier can put-out you get clipping (distortion).

Music is dynamic, which means (unlike a constant tone) the average power is less than the peaks. It's the peak power that determines how loud you can go without clipping, but it's the short-term average that burns-out speakers. Of course the peak-to-average ratio depends on the music so it's not perfectly

If you push an amplifier above clipping the peaks are clipped/limited but the average goes up and you can damage the speaker. Also, harmonics are generated and some of those harmonics go to the tweeter, and the tweeter can't handle as much power as the woofer. That's where the myth comes-from.

Although a 100W amplifier that's "trying" to hit 200W on the peaks and clipping can damage a 100W speaker, an un-clipped amplifier actually hitting 200W is worse! And with a lower power amplifier, you might start to hear the distortion, prompting you to turn it down.

Constant 100W test tones can also damage a 100W speaker, especially with high frequency tones going to the tweeter.

In most "home situations" you probably won't be pushing the amplifier to 100W. And usually speakers are not blown unless a drunk person at a part, or a teenager, is in charge of the volume control. Or if you are "testing" to see how loud it will go! ;)

That makes sense, I meant worse as in the clipping thing, that basically you'd feel the need to increase the volume since the amp is weak and end up with distortion (and you added more reasons not to). That is why I was mainly looking for amps that give 100w on both speakers so even if I increase the volume once or twice to "test" ;) the speakers won't blow up and at the same time never be "starved" of the power they could handle.
Still, you mentioned that the 100w is for peak only, so should I be aiming for below 100w amps just to be safe? Like 70w?
I don't believe I'll be listening to them super loud all the time but definitely a few times I'll want to go loud. Even if just to see those 'edgeless' speakers move, a big part of why I bought them haha.
