My OEM Car System has ruined HiFi for me. Thoughts?

A few years ago I installed a quality system in a car and was blown away by its performance too. Active bi-amping, sub, and frequency equalisation - for the driver's position.

I disagree with that. I dont care if you drive a Rolls. The basic noise levels are.unavoidable and negate any advantage. Hence we can tell "ambitioned" car systems from two blocks away. Ugh.

I would say that if you think your car system is better than your home setup, you probably have a suboptimal home environment.

Normally, I would agree with you except it also sounds better than some TOTL headphone gear too, which isn't subject to the environment its playing in for the most part.
