I've recently acquired a pair of these speakers, I've owned and heard over 40 pairs of speakers in my lifetime and I seem to like these a lot but unfortunately they have some upper midrange hf boost. The measurements show a linear frequency response with the exception of some peaks in the 800hz and 2khz region which makes vocals and horns sound shouty on some recordings. If it weren't for this , these would be keepers. I really like the clarity of that AMT tweeter but for jazz and poorly recorded music they get fatiguing very quickly. I need a good all rounder speaker for all genres. With that being said, has anyone had any luck with these speakers?

When you say the measurements are you referring to a published anechoic frequency response? If so, have you tried using some EQ to tame those peaks?

Yes exactly, I've seen reviews that showed measurement graphs. No, I've never used EQ...
