I think it was quite a game changer - especially at the ADC side of things. This looks like better clocks (lower jitter perhaps, but that was already pretty good!) and lower noise and distortion (and clipping?) on analogue inputs. If all this is true I suspect it will be at the top or near the top of interfaces and perhaps an alternative to the RME Adi2 Pro
