Not normally my thing but I want to set up a cost effective 2.1 system, so I thought I'd ask opinions. Speakers are just Wharfedale Diamond 12.1, sub will either be a Kali 6.2 (if it ends up being spare from another room) or a cheap Wharfedale.
Anyway, my question is about the neatest way to drive this. I would like to have at least crossover and PEQ in hardware.
I don't think it exists, but my ideal product would be a desktop amp (or some small form factor thing), with stereo power amp output, a crossover and mono line level out for LF, and PEQ for all three outputs. Maybe delays too. Then just a basic pre to gather sources really.
Maybe what I'm describing is a small AVR? Is there something like that I could look at?
I want the solution to be software agnostic, in the sense I don't want everything to have to run from a specific player/computer anything like that.
(Also, sorry if this post is a dumb question; Atmos and three-digit SPL is my day job so please forgive my unfamiliarity with this segment)
