Motherboard in place with HDPlex cooling on top of AMD CPU.
Wise, I recommend trying to find a angle that suggests it's in her best intrest and you're doing it all for her.. Tricky but worth some thoughtCable management, not all that easy to make properly
Front panel touch button assembly
Close to finalize build
There ...
Roon Bridge Linux package installed, works just fine with the iFi iDAC2 connected.
The internal motherboard graphics is really bad, 8 years old so what do you expect. Intended to also use PC for NetFlix in new mediaroom, wont work! I'll most likely tear out everything and do a new build with new components. Let's see, can't reveal these plans for spouse.
Now there is a good idea! Why not turn it into art for the home?Wise, I recommend trying to find a angle that suggests it's in her best intrest and you're doing it all for her.. Tricky but worth some thought
It's a wonder you were married long enough to for the ink to dry on the certificate let alone bring up childrenNow there is a good idea! Why not turn it into art for the home?
Heck you can build the next one "open face:"
I am sure she will go for one or the other!!!
Love the PC on the wall, bet it stays real Kool. Now there is a good idea! Why not turn it into art for the home?
That's why after 3 marriages and another half dozen relationships, I'm single. It's a wonder you were married long enough to for the ink to dry
Very nice documentation and pictures! On the last bit, I bought the latest and greatest CPU for that reason, i.e. so that it wouldn't get obsoleted. Then I hooked up my 4K TV to it and realized it only goes up to 25 frames/second! Boo. So I too may have to replace it or get a silent graphics card should that ever develop.
Dang those are some pricey CPU's. If I were to be interested in a new build I'd wait a year till they're yesterdays news. Being a early adopter always comes with a stiff price tag.Looks like Kaby Lake with Windows 10 would be the right solution.
Prices (leaked) seem like typical of Intel so not a premium over what I paid:Dang those are some pricey CPU's. If I were to be interested in a new build I'd wait a year till they're yesterdays news. Being a early adopter always comes with a stiff price tag.
Yep, that's right on the money with what I saw at newegg.Prices (leaked) seem like typical of Intel so not a premium over what I paid:
I'm the ASR version of Tom's (Sam Tellig) The Audio Cheapskate. But yes waiting always helps.
You know.... that title could be handed out when you are not looking!I'm the ASR version of Tom's (Sam Tellig) The Audio Cheapskate.
Always pointing out ways to save cash, that's what I do.
I think the 'audio ' part is surplus to requirementsYou know.... that title could be handed out when you are not looking!
