I have a choice between a pair of Klipsch Forte I or Klipsch Chorus I Speakers. The Chorus I's were modified with Bob Crites upgraded crossovers and titanium
diaphragms. The diaphragms on the midrange were not modified based on the advise of Mike Crites. The Chorus are in good condition with some nicks and damage to the front of one of the speakers which doesn't affect the sound of that speaker. The Forte's are original with the Phenolic tweeters. They are in excellent condition.
The Chorus speakers are $750 higher than the Forte so there is plenty of room to do a Crites crossover upgrade and leave the original -phenolic tweeters in place in the Forte. The speakers will be run with a McIntosh 4100 receiver (75wpc). Music will be vinyl records 60-70's classic rock and folk. The system will be placed in a large living room with no sound baffling (little furniture, hard wood floors and no window coverings). Thanks for your thoughts.
