Here’s the speaker I’d like KEF to make (just for me!:p)

LS55, larger format monitor, 3 way passive, with the dedicated midrange UniQ, dual opposed side mounted woofers (like LS60/Blade) sealed cabinet designed to hand over to subwoofers.

My credit card would be out of my wallet in a flash for a pair of these £££

I got my hands on a Uni-Q from a R3, paired it with two WO24P in a DIY version of the KEF R900.
The satori works great in closed boxes and roll off nicely to subs.
But I guess you're not into DIY?
But do you specifically want a compact shelf standing monitor or does the floor standing models work?
It seems like you are looking for a micro blade?

'Micro Blade' is a great name ...

Nice DIY job

I am into diy (built my own Bass cabinets/subs) but I’m too busy with house refurb to take on a speaker project.

Micro Blades is a great name & exactly what I’d love to see, only closer to LS price than Blade!

No, passive, with the curved baffle like the LS50.
Really dont think a LS50 with side woofers would get a decent market demand. The extra cost that goes into this can get you a decent separate subwoofer that reaches deeper

Small side woofers works well /w DSP. Does not make sense as a passive.

Once you are talking active, making the box a bit smaller will not reduce cost significantly compared to the LS60.

The LS60 is the "micro blade".

That's why I asked about shelf Vs floor placement ;)
