I have multiples of JBL 306P MK II stored in near-perfect conditions for 3+ yr., still brand-new and never used.

Relative to capacitors (or some other sensitive parts), does anyone have suggestions as to what precautions, if any, should be taken when powering them on for the first time after such a lengthy interval of inactivity?

Thanks For Any Considerations!

Elco caps only get bad after decades when not used a lot, so don't worry about that. And film caps don't detoriate fast enough to worry about them at all. As long as the speaker was stored dry and not in extreme temperature, it should work as new. Maybe just power them up with no signal on the input first, turn the volume down and then connect the sourcce and raise the volume. But even that is not really needed. 3 years is not that much.
