This is a hobby so interested people are persnickety, but the reality is that a very good sounding stereo isn’t that hard to achieve. Inexpensively acquired equipment from thrift shops, speakers found on the curb, church sales, etc. Getting the room right and speaker placement are the main things, but with a little research, not really that tough either. The move to digital sources has really simplified things.
