I need a suggestion for a Windows-based music player that has a web frontend.

For JRiver, panel works pretty well. One limitation I ran into was trying to play a DSD file using an iPad as the client, even though the DAC accepts and plays DSD just fine.
I never tried JRemote because of the many negative comments users have had.
I agree with @ZolaIII about WDM. The feature allows me to use room correction in JRiver while streaming from Qobuz
 
Logitech Media Server is excellent freeware. You could try the Material Skin plugin for an updated look.
I liked Daphile when I tried it, but don’t remember if a web browser controller is available
Kodi is also excellent, but isn’t really designed for headless use, so can be a bit kludgy. But does work.
