That in your link uses a more common DIN 5 pin connector, with the 5 pins in a semicircle (screenshot below). The one I need to identify has the 5 pin in a sort of irregular 2-1-2 configuration as per pictures in post #1. I cannot find it anywhere. The supplier of the device doesn't answer (smells like a distributor putting it's brand to a made in somewhere device...)

Yes, it looks like that. And the fifth pin goes to shield, maybe something diy could be arranged...It looks similar to a 4 pin, 216 degree DIN with a 5th pin added...

Thank you all, seems confirmed it must be something proprietary, i was hoping it was something niche but known but I guess it is not. Will give it a try at digikey like raindance suggested and see if I find something.
