Happy owner of several WiiM minis and a WiiM Pro here, I think the amp is probably a good bet.
I would add a +1 to "don't buy the B&W speakers"... they were pretty good in the 80s and maybe for a while after, but over time shifted to a very non-flat colored house sound.
There are lots of much better speakers recommended here that cost the same or less.
