In today's market there is no way to justify a 1500usd IEM. Not sure 300 can be justified even.

And, having hd800s, I am not opposed to pricy headphones

If the beyer is comfy id try eq towards Harman first before buying something Harman tuned at mega bucks

You'd be surprised.

Anyway, try the MD line: $500 Variations, $350 Dusk or $180 Kato. Dusk and Variations are very similar, Kato has more mid bass (it doesn't follow the Harman scoop). They should all sound somewhat similar, I'd then go for the most comfotable set.

For sale...

A pair of TRUTHEAR x Crinacle Zero IEM.

Great performance as per famous reviewer Amir, on behalf of AudioScienceReview, who said "Think of it as the tuning fork that a musician uses! This IEM needs to be in your arsenal."

The starting price is US $15000 each.

Taxes and delivery not included.

And as a dusk and Kato owner, for fit and comfort there is no contest (in my ears anyway) . The dusk fit my ear great and stay in. The Kato are angular, heavy and won't keep a seal regardless of tip and insertion.

Others mileage may of course vary.

I think for live performance fit, seal and durability is more important than tuning. The problem is I don't see any valuable test and data other than tuning, even for expensive IEM, there is no statistic such as failure rate etc.. as far as I know. Fit can't be measured anyway... But, I know some people use afordable IEM for live performance, even some use KZ.

@gallionetech Owns multiple kilobuck headphones (Dan Clark Expanse, Dan Clark Stealth, and HIFIMAN HE1000 V2 iirc), and his preferred harman-tuned iem is the Blessing 2 Dusk iirc.

Dude just sold his B2 Dusks in favor of U12ts

Yes, can highly recommend them for the price. I use my u12t's more but there def not harman-tuned. There more neutral with a base boost.

Yea, i find myself using the u12ts whenever I want to use an IEM now. However there almost 7 times the price of the Dusks and aren't harman tuned
