My front left/right speakers in my 5.2.2 configuration are Focal Chora 826's:

Specs:
frequency response: 48-28,000 Hz (±3dB)
nominal impedance: 8 ohms
sensitivity: 91 dB
recommended amplifier power: 40-250 watts

I am currently powering them with a Denon X3700H

Specs:
105 watts per channel into 8 ohms (20-20,000 Hz) at 0.08% THD, with 2 channels driven

Would I likely gain any benefit adding an external amp to the Denon? Thanks

Welcome!

It's hard to see where you'd get much of an improvement. Those don't look like terribly demanding speakers.

Are you noticing an issue, or just wondering in general?

Thanks!

Just wondering in general. Purchased an Eversolo A8 recently and also contemplating routing it through the potential external amplifier to avoid any processing from the AVR. From what I understand the avr dac is involved unless in "direct" or "pure direct" mode. Have read that the dac is really good in the A8. I am just starting to dive into home audio and have a lot to learn!
