Just looking at drivers doesn't (necessarily) mean a lot.

How will they driven?

Two channel with passive crossover or 4 channel with DSP or analog cross/EQ?

(I know nothing specific about car audio. I listen to right-wing wacko talk shows in the car with a crappy stock Toyota system. And Art Bell/George Noori if late night)

I'm actually using a cheap head unit for now so no amp and the crossovers it comes with

I have the older Focal PolyKevlar units and am happy with them. I also use a Focal amp (in one car).

One thing you want to do is to mount the tweeter as close to ear level as possible and on axis.

Looking at the frequency response, I think the flax is better for the money.
