FIRST EVER SUBWOOFER

I’m about to complement my set (Marantz NR1200 + 2 x SA jiffy*) with a subwoofer. My goal is not very “hifi ambitious”, I’m looking for some bass boost for movies.

Available space is rather restricted because the only place for the sub is the bookself (see picture)**. This means that the max depth of the sub is about 38 cm (or 14.9 in).

I have five contenders:

1) B&W ASW608
2) B&W ASW610
3) SVS - SB1000
4) SVS SB-1000 Pro
5) DALI E-9F

At this time my sights are set on the B&W ASW608. It’s compact enough and I’ve seen some good reviews. *** But what say you?

SVS subs with their app is fantastic to set up low pass filter, PEQ, etc. Highly recommended.

If space is a premium don't forget the tiny mighty 3000 Micro.
