Thought I’d share some photos of my main system In its latest iteration. I appreciate good engineering and have strived to optimize measurable performance hence the SINAD chasing.

Source : Yamaha WXC-50 in player mode with SPDIF out ( I tried Volumio in the SHD but think it’s not ready for prime time)
DSP: MiniDSP SHD studio for sub crossover and room correction below 500Hz
DAC: Okto DAC8 PRO
Amps: Dual Benchmark AHB2‘s in bridged mono
Speakers: Revel Salon 2’s
Subs: dual JL F113v2
cables are all Canare mostly self assembled with Neutrik connectors

For home theater I use a Denon 3700h using an ARX RS-1 for HT bypass

OK!

You, Sir have my dream system.
,nuf said.

PM coming.

Absolutely lovely looking system and setup. My cheeky cat, Julio, would find that TosLink cap and steal it, chew it up, or hide it...

Really love that large display on the Okto.

and bravo if you have achieved a good sound with speakers in those locations and sparse decor!

He has some specially tuned bass traps/absorbers in the form of strategically placed bongo drums and miniature Hemholtz resonators. :)

Great setup! We can't see the whole room obviously but I'm curious if you consider acoustic treatment (decay times etc.) playing a part in 'preserving' SINAD? Genuine question!

I have room use limitations myself and aesthetic reasons not to add a lot of treatment, I'm wondering if you feel the same way or do you have the room 'under control' as it is?

I thought this was going to be a complain thread

I thought that too! Figured there would be fireworks, arguments and fiesty behaviour, but no, we are treated to a very nice system, carefully "curated". :)

You have spent a lot of money on very nice equipment. Now if you want it to sound half decent , spend a couple hundred on sound management. Pay first attention to any reflection from less than 2 feet. A couple of sheets of Owens Corning compressed FG board can do wonders for the imaging.

Incredible setup. I may be just a smidge jealous.

What's your thought on the Audyssey XT32 room correction on the X3700H? I didn't expect to be so impressed at how well it works with my JBL S38ii's for correcting dips and peaks. I may have to tweak the treble a bit to have it roll off a bit more as it sounds a tad bright. I'd love to see the results on your setup. I'm curious if the room throws off the spectacularly tight FR tolerances of those speakers.

Oh, does anyone know what the -2.5dB dip @ 2K "mids correction" is for? I can disable it, but it was on by default.
