This post has some interesting calcs regarding the difference between left and right speakers wires when the lengths are mismatched. So ofc vs occ is bullshit?

Have you tried *****?
So ofc vs occ is bullshit?
Any consensus on this?As a phd in solid state physics and a former postdoc from the materials science and metallurgy department of the #1 university in the world… I absolutely authoritatively assure you that any (!!) difference between the two (ofc vs occ) for a speaker-cable application is the absolute and undisputable bullshit.
This has always been my go to, although I see price has almost doubled now. http://www.knukonceptz.com/home-the...sp/kord-ultra-flex-10-gauge-speaker-wire-100/
Yes!So ofc vs occ is bullshit?
Thank you Raindog. What about silver over copper in audio cables? As a phd in solid state physics and a former postdoc from the materials science and metallurgy department of the #1 university in the world… I absolutely authoritatively assure you that any (!!) difference between the two (ofc vs occ) for the speaker-cable application is the absolute and undisputable bullshit.

Curious is the best answer I have heard in a long time. None of the magic BS. I am sure if tested carefully, you will leave it in place as it probably does no harm, but 16 gauge zip is just as good.Occ and solid core. A lot of consensus of occ quality over ofc and solid core over stranded. Curious to try
Any consensus on this?
If the gauge is sufficient for the length and load, it shouldn't make any audible difference as the conductivity difference wouldn't be great enough for audio applications. So ofc vs occ is bullshit?
The ones I went to surely weren't, and there is ample consensus on that (citation missing).Na everyone thinks their university is #1
Yeah @BDWoody, you know nothingBD Woody you have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to wire
Surely you have some measurements that show these “harmonics”?the best ofc wire has 40 to 50 Crystal barriers per foot which are little fractures in The wire that the electric flow has to jump across and when it does that you're shearing off harmonics, OCC single Crystal has no Crystal barriers in 125 m so the signal has no impediments to go across maybe you should do your research before you flap your gums because you have no idea what you're talking about and you can hear the difference it's like night and day. maybe your system isn't good enough to hear the difference LOL
