The ART beta testing phase is completed. ART is fully compatible with AVRs starting from X3800H and up and It's now up to Masimo to decide when to release the FW (It should be sometime this year after April). As for Roon ready certification. I was told that it is expected to be added to all D&M models including older models starting from the X3400H.
Many D&M users have complained that HEOS does not support multichannel music streaming because it is hardware-coded to 2 channels only. To compensate for this limitation. Masimo has started working with HARMAN to certify most of their AVRs as Multichannel capable Roon endpoint. Dolby Atmos music via Amazon HD is also expected to be added along the line.
If you own a Denon X?400H AVR and have the latest FW update, you should notice that Roon is now detecting it as an uncertified device which could only be enabled using a special beta Roon software. Once the certification process is completed, you'll be able to play multichannel FLAC and DSD files using Roon directly (bit-perfect) into the compatible Denon AVRs.
@PHD I know it is inappropriate to discuss here but it looks like legacy AVRs with built-in HEOS will not be receiving Roon Ready certification after all according to this post https://community.roonlabs.com/t/marantz-cinema-line-heos-when-is-it-roon-ready/243953/229 "Denon UK support comments on legacy AVRs Rood Readiness: There are currently no plans of updating our legacy AVR’s to give them Roon Ready support. No legacy AVR’s will get a Roon Ready upgrade. If customers want Roon Ready they will have to upgrade the hardware."
AVRs which will be released in the future,
"We cannot comment on products that haven’t currently been released. However, we will announce all new product launches on our Facebook page and Denon website once they become available.
However it is highly possible that all future released AVR’s going forward will become Roon Ready."
As I posted earlier, Roon Ready for D&M, which was planned for the current 2023 line was dropped and it will be supported out of the box together with the new HEOS+ ecosystem on the next line of AVRs (X?900H for Denon, Cinema x1 for Marantz). No Roon ready for the X4800H, nor Dolby Atmos music support via HEOS.

@PHD That can't be entirely right, surely the current D+M models will receive Roon Ready certification like the just announced A10H (X8500HA successor), A1H, X6800H, AV10, Cinema 30 models? This Denon X6800H/Marantz Cinema 30 presentation advertises Roon Ready as "coming soon" at the start around the 1:03 mark,
hi there, Does anyone know if the Dirac ART has a mono bass? (I didn't watch the ART seminar video properly, sorry!) - When a sub integrates with bass from a speaker, what channel matrix does it consist of?
