Dirac has a new CEO, new (DLBC) pricing, and some other Dirac rumors

Most established reviewers seem to prefer to stay silent, which might indicate that they don't feel it is ready for in-depth review. Dirac is definitively on to something with ART thought, they just appear to need more time. IMO they can't just cut off ART at 20hz. There is a whole octave below that can't just be bypassed.

All of the established reviewers, and many of enthusiasts do have significant extension (and associated issues) in this range that is not addressed by ART. I actually have the whole setup figured out, but once I come to 25hz, there is no cure but to roll it off which is where I would expect ART to come in and save the day.

Considering Dirac Art has been on storm audio for a while now, why isn’t there any reviews of it anywhere?
There are extensive user reviews in user forums.

Gene at Audioholic was planning an in depth review, however he found that there were some issues, specifically with large base layer speakers (towers / full range) - the more common configurations with frequency limited base layer speakers, worked fine, but his main setup has full range speakers - his issues were reported back to Dirac, and he is waiting on fixes....

This is the sort of feedback that convinces me that the reason for the extended delay, is that Dirac has decided to go back and redesign parts of the User Interface, and perhaps some of the automated integration capabilities.

Mathias Johansson just left Harman. Interesting development, but hard to know what to make of it.

Harman is a big company under even bigger Samsung, so can imagine immense amount of red tape and institutional limitations/processes. Not environment for everyone. I hope that Mathias gets something going and develop the next big thing in audio. Bad timing for the move though as markets are crashing and people more worried about surviving than what's next.

Just picked up this thread again and I guess Gene is still waiting . In the meantime I think it was made clear by Dirac that 20hz is what it is and won't really get better than that in the low end. That selfishly works for me, and hope they either extend upper ART range or improve handover with Dirac Live. It is choppy right now and also timing not best aligned with ART.
