currently on LSX and considering upgrading to KEF R3 Meta . how do I include A(One) sub to the KEF?
source likely would be a streamer ( WiiM Pro PLus ).

Or would it just be easier to use the sub out from LSX to keep it simple and purchase a sub i.e KEF KC62 or perhaps SVS 3000 Micro.

Thanks.

A speaker amplifier with a subwoofer output could amplify a WiiM Pro Plus to send sound to a pair of KEF R3 Meta loudspeakers and a subwoofer. There are many options.

Can you share your budget, the size of your listening space and how far you are seated from the LSX loudspeakers ?

It likely would be 'easier' to use the sub out from the LSX. Using a WiiM streamer like the WiiM Pro Plus gives you the option to apply four bands of parametric equalization (PEQ) that may bring your perception of the LSX closer to that of the R3 Meta.

budget maybe should be around the price of the speakers.

currently lsx is like on a work table hence nearfield but for R3 likely it will be shifted to the living room.

just wondering if you have any suggestion for
1) amps that has sub out ( it requires to have LFE out
2) what about dac

tks

Other members are better versed on which amplifiers have a LFE out for the sub output. WiiM has said the output on the sub out on their WiiM AMP is capped at 300 Hz

The DAC in the WiiM Pro Plus tested by Amir measured well. It may be all the DAC you need.

If you do not need a headphone output, a WiiM AMP may be all you need for your listening space. However some early adopters report a low-level 'hum' from their WiiM AMPs
