Maybe M-Scaler does need an special burn-in?? Put it into the microwave and circle it for 3 mins at 1000W, think this will help the 5.000$ to perform.

But the actual argument was not about it being technically better, but that it sounds better. So question is: can people hear the difference? Probably not.. there will be some research about it.

Especially when you can do high res scaling for free on Linux with MPD and the SOX resampler. But it does have a pretty case.

Thanks for the video explanation.

A lot of products are based on a flawed idea about how something is supposed to improve sound quality. For example the power regenerators, the idea that "cleaner" AC power will improve audio device performance.

What is the idea behind creating an upsampler in the first place?
