Having spent a long time trying to find a good sub in the $400-500 range for my second floor apartment, I gave up because shipping a sub to Denmark from the US adds another $150 to the cost. So I'm forking out the $650 for the Kali WS-6.2. I have two concerns:

1. My living room doesn't have too much space to place the sub wherever I want. Ideally it would stand in the corner of the room next to my computer table which is where my Adam T5V mains are placed, that's my listening position. But I'm not sure how well it works with corners when the sub has 2 woofers, one in each side. If I place it in the corner then one woofer will aim at the wall while the other doesn't. Is that a problem? Alternatively I could place it at an angle so both woofers point at the walls, making the sub a bit louder but perhaps the bass would not only reflect off the walls but shake the entire building then? Do I have to reconfigure my living room so the sub doesn't have to be in a corner or how does that work?

2. The WS-6.2 appears to only have an 80 Hz crossover frequency. What are the odds that I'd need something higher, like 120 Hz? I don't even know when 120 Hz is preferred. The reason I'm getting a sub at all is that my T5Vs sound much better when they don't have to deal with the low frequencies; is an 80 Hz crossover gonna sufficiently take the load off my T5Vs?

No.

Placing subs in a room will always be problematic, requiring DSP to tame room modes. Which woofer is aimed at which surface is irrelevant in the grand scheme of things.

80Hz should be fine.

If you're worried about the fixed HPF, consider one of KRK's subs, those come with adjustable crossover frequency.

Alright, thanks for the info.

I see that the only retailer for the sub in Denmark, Thomann.de, has a 30-day money-back guarantee. I think I'll buy the sub and see how it sounds, then return it if 80 Hz just isn't enough.

I connected ws to LP6 v2, the phase changed places, all sounds are scattered and are not audible from the center. Help, what am I doing wrong?

What does this mean? Sounds are not audible from the center?

Have you tried flipping the WS-6.2's Polarity switch?

Yes, I tried. For example, a singer sings strictly in the center, but the sound turns out as if it was recorded with a double track. I did tests, phase and antiphase swapped places. Separately, without a subwoofer, the LP6s sound as they should.

Store support writes that the cables may be shorted. Is it possible?
It's possible for cables to be damaged/faulty, yes.

You can test them with a basic $15 multimeter.

What tests specifically did you do, and what did your tests reveal?

Tests for white noise in phase and antiphase, with a text description of how it should sound. It sounds like the opposite to me. When I get home, I'll check the cables. The store manager is sure the problem is in them, if not, then I will return the goods.
Up -

the culprit was a faulty XLR cable
