Scrod is some fish that Bostonians eat. It may be what makes them so "personable" - no one else eats it AFAIK.

My daily coffee has since become Cafe Bustelo, espresso grind in a regular old Mr Coffee type generic appliance.

When we lived there, we discovered Bustelo Gold, which we thought had a better flavor for very little more money. Compared to ANY coffeee bought at Whole Foods, a screaming bargain! and excellent coffee on my absolute scale.

It's just a local term for a small cod. Pretty bland IMO, but then again, many people prefer bland fish to strongly flavored ones.

@Sal1950 - If the fish you buy is smelly, you gotta get yourself down to Miami, where they have some good fish markets (and coffee, for that matter).
