Higher density just changes the resonant frequency, metal resonates like crazy, e.g. bells. Does this material also have damping qualities?

It has a density 2-3 times higher than MDF but a tensile modulus similar to MDF and HDF, giving it good damping qualities.

Is the white bit around the driver's a rubber seal or similar?
Natural colour is a great way to avoid minor damage showing through.

To achieve the desired thickness, a black material was bonded to a white material. Although the colors are different, the materials are the same. The reason for using different colors is that the white material is available in various thicknesses.

That is probably a question for the Ascilab team, I do know there are going to be some measurements of the A-6 with the aluminium woofer and the aluminium hydroxide enclosures.

I'm really looking forward to those measurements. And I sincerely hope, that the brand will provide third party measurements as well. It's a completely new brand after all and this would make it easier for me (and perhaps others) to perhaps spend a (for me) significant amount of money on a speaker without evaluation at my home.

Of course having you as a representative for the brand would help also...

The active version of the A6B will be released simultaneously. The passive version of the A6B is scheduled for release one month after the active version. The processors for nearly all production processes have now been finalized, and only the waveguide mold remains to be completed, which is expected to be ready for production within 2 weeks

I don't think the enclosures are made from aluminum hydroxide. I believe aluminum hydroxide is the major filler material for the polymer composite. It seems to me the material is similar to DuPont Corian.

Question: You probably have a solution for this, but the interior pictures seem to show that the amplifier doesn't have its own chamber, but the hypex plate amps have vents in the plates, which means you won't have a completely sealed cabinet?
