Anyone tried Popori Acoustics electrostatic speakers ?

It’s already invented a year ago:

Researchers develop a paper-thin loudspeaker

The flexible, thin-film device has the potential to make any surface into a low-power, high-quality audio source.

Looks interesting. Would sound engineers ever use electrostatic speakers for mastering ?

I have the WR-2's. They are very good. To my ears they are excellent but I'm not a professional, reviewer or any kind of expert. My expertise (if any) is in electronics. I am coming from Golden Ear Triton Reference 1's. The Golden Ears have large separate built in bass amplifiers. The Poporis are electrostatic speakers which in general are criticized for no bass. These speakers have more bass than my Golden Ears. Expensive (for me) but worth it.

I have MartinLogan reQuests bought in 1998, on the left, in black:

15x48 inch panel, 12" sealed woofer, cross at 180Hz

Driven by baby Krells spec'd for 350/700/1400W 8/4/2 ohms

I like them.

The USA Dealer/Distributor or whatever is only about 50 miles from me.

They look expensive, though, and I have other things to absorb my cash these days.

Popori not listed on their website.
