Same period but different mood, very good nowadays because of the travel ban, so listen and remember when you were on vacation in the sun ...

Well this was a lovely find- bit too active for pure ambient, but I reckon it qualifies

I saw a Biosphere (Geir Jenssen) mentioned, and a shout for Loscil, but no Helge Sten? There's nothing quite like a classic Deathprod:
Deathprod is great.

I'd like to drop two suggestions in this thread, I really enjoy both:
Beaumont Hannant - Touch Your Skin

Taylor Deupree - Stil.

My best friend, Peggy, used to play Brian Eno's Music for Airports every night at bedtime. Loved it. Early '80s.
About that time at a local record shop, in the discount bin, were some tapes by some cat named Kitaro. I bought one, listened to it and drove back and bought the rest that day. I think I had his first five albums for a just few bucks.

I'm a Kitaro fan, have been listening to him since mid-90's and have several albums. With Amazon HD there are a few more I haven't heard. My favorite is Enchanted Evening with Kitaro but I like a few others just not as much.

I know it's not very "audiophile" but I listen at times to "SPA" on SiriusXM on DISH. Run it through both systems in 5 or 7 channel stereo simulation. Very nice. Also get a bunch of it on the channel I have setup on Pandora. Ulrich Schnauss is one artist I found I like, as is Thievery Corporation - particularly The Mirror Conspiracy album. Sort of ambient I think?
