Just got a new toy (RME ADI-2 PRO fs) and played a bit with it using REW on Linux. Here is a photo with the RME and a Swissonic Converter DA 24/192 (and for size comparison a Genelec 8020 active nearfield monitor speaker).
The Swissonics retails for € 35.- (!), the RME for € 1500.- (both @ Thomann). You pay a lot more for the RME (which is much more than just a DAC, of course), but you get also much better results.

Other comments:
- For Jitter tests I need the J-Test signal to play outside of REW (REW does not support it). I couldn't find a file for download so I may have to create it by myself - not tonight though.
- REW cannot play signals with 192 kHz samplerate without stutter. VLC has no problems, aplay (ALSA command line player) neither.
- My Notebook with Windows 10 was not able to play bit correct data to the RME. I would like to use the Notebook for sensitive measurements since it can run on battery and with the RME fed by a 12V lead battery.
- These are my first measurements posted here. Feel free to comment what I can do better, whether the parameters are consistent with Amir, or if there is better software than REW for this purpose.
