2nd generation EIGENTAKT PURIFI 1ET6525SA (successor to the 1ET400A)

Heaven forbid Dylan should be human and cross-post...

... I think he was trying to mislead but you clearly disagree because you know him better. I won't go into this more because I don't have the time but I'll let others make their mind up.

Edit. I'm human too so no one so please be nice to me.

Actually I spoke to buckeye one time before I got the audiophonics by website message and I experienced what I would call the hard sell.
Just because I value my character, here is a screenshot of my alerts earlier, where one thread has "2nd Gen Purifi EIGENTAKT" in its title and this thread, which has "2nd Generation EIGENTAKT Purifi".

If confusing the two when quickly clicking a new alert isn't a human error on my part (for which I admitted) and part of some ulterior motive, OK.

Didn't buckeye already make a post in this thread and boxem told him that it was inappropriate.
Wouldn't it have been due diligence to check all whopping six pages of this thread before making such a claim?
Because it doesn't exist...

No.

Your post seemed pretty snarky from "peaceonearth". I do not know him except from his posts here and a couple of emails when I bought an amp from him a few years ago.

Whatever, I have bigger problems to deal with now (21 degF outside, 61 degF inside, because the furnace went out last night, joy). I can definitely stay away from here for a while so people can make up their mind.

I seriously doubt that I would do such a thing.
Regarding sending a review sample to Amir, why not, but priority is serving customers who already ordered their amp.

Oops. My bad. Forgot this was for the 6525SA (have two different Purifi thread notifications happening at the moment).

There is almost no expediancy to getting a 6525SA review...for those who already have an ET400A or are looking at an ET400A at a discount, they are not missing out on the 6525SA. Likewise, for those looking at the 6525SA, it is just replacing the 400A so there isn't some new ground breaking advancement that a new review will show in measurements.
It has been said that the 1ET6525SA reaches SINAD of 114dB at 5 watts output, is that not objectively a significant improvement over the 1ET400A's SINAD of only 104dB, will it not be significantly better for highly sensitive speakers between 94dB-100dB sensitivity if the upstream components too have a really low noise floor?

I suppose it comes down to what someone wants to consider "significantly better"...

@DonH56 , it sounds like you purchased the Purifi amp. Next year I’m looking at purchasing a pair of Legacy Focus SE speakers and doing some research on the amp I will use. I’m thinking the @Buckeye Amps Purifi amp with the new 1ET6525SA
is a potential candidate. A similar priced amp would be something like the Emotiva XPA amps. I realize you probably have not directly listened to the Emotiva amp, but curious about your thoughts on the Purifi amps versus a traditional amp. All things being equal, the size advantage on the Buckeye amp is appealing.

I purchased a four-channel Hypex (not Purifi) NC252MP Buckeye amp for my overhead speakers. My base amps are Emotiva, an XPA-2 for L/R and XPA-5 for C/S/R, both Gen1 amplifiers. I did an extremely brief trial using the Buckeye to drive my L/R speakers instead of the XPA-2 and did not notice a significant difference. I did not do any other tests, nor did I listen enough to discern subtle differences (if there). My long-term plans were to replace the base layer amps with Benchmark, but since I am retired now, I expect to go the Buckeye Hypex or Purifi route. Since my speakers are not terribly sensitive Purifi's SNR advantage is not worth paying more to me, but I will see what is available if and when. Emotiva has had some issues with their Gen2 and Gen3 amps but I have not tracked them for a year or more so would suggest checking out their forum and other user reviews. Personally I find the price/performance of the Hypex and Purifi amps very compelling. Not just size, but lower heat, weight, and higher performance are all wins for the Hypex/Purifi amps.

TL;DR -- I think you'll be happy with @Buckeye Amps and Dylan is a pleasure to work with.

Great, thanks!

Am I correct?
The 1ET6525SA is successor to the 1ET400A and the 1ET9040BA is the successor to the ET7040SA?

Is there any heat dissipation differences in the implementation of the 1ET6525SA vs the previous 1ET400A and are there any difference in power efficiency using a similar power supply?
