Hi all, I've been a lurker for a few months and am looking to jump in. Currently have a KEF LS50W with an old KEF sub and looking to upgrade. I auditioned the KEF R5 and R7 and am deciding between them. I'm having a hard time deciding on how to drive them.
Usage - 90% music, 10% tv/movies. Most listening at quieter or mid volumes given kids and since it's an apartment. Looking to upgrade because I have an itch and kids are now big enough to know over bookshelves with stands
Usage is simple - either Spotify cast, or Bluetooth for music. Tv is either optical or HDMI arc. Will be 2.0. I had a 5.1 kef system a while ago but 2 is enough.
Room - small about 10x10ft listening square in bigger living room.
I can budget up to $2k. I really value simplicity (e.g. one box if possible). Thinking of Sonos amp, but would be open to other options (Cambridge audio, naim, nad, chifi combos) since I don't want to get bigger speakers that sound worse than my ls50w.
