Which one is better for bass head if its get some EQ with no dac or AC?

I heard people paise X2hr about it massive bass quality
but in my regiont these X2hr Cost around 120$ while He400se cost only at 56$

So i have one question, that if i choose he400se and add some EQ in bass area to go as high as X2hr to save money

Will this he400se gonna get high quatity and powerful bass as x2hr?
and will its gonna still has better distortion?

Im a newbie to this headphone things and retail in my regions dont accept return if i change my mine or dont like product that i just bought

That is even cheaper than I got the HE400se. It's great, but not for bassheads in my opinion even after EQ. I suspect that is the case for open backs in general. Not sure about your region but I am waiting for the regular sale on the X2HR to buy them for around 80 USD (if memory serves me correct).

close backs is uncomfort for me
and x2hr even on sale it still around 110$ in my region (thailand)

If he400se with EQ able to get the same bass quality and quantity as x2hr
i definitely go with he400se

The X2HR has more bass tuning and will take less eq to get there. Your going to need the $9 U.S. version of the Apple USB 3.5MM adapter to do anything with a preamp reduction to get them loud enough.

Only its price that make me hesitate

I have 9500 and absolutely love it except its lack of bass

I don't consider such devices truly deserving when infrasonic bass is an objective, rather a pale and lackluster result as proposed.

Such devices as headphones in general, or these 2 particular headphones?

Would love to buy some speaker with subwoofer but i live in rent apartment with quite strict rule about loud noise
and Close back headphone make me feel uncomfort by how narrow its sound (or it happen only in close back that sell in my price range? i dont really know)
So my only choice that left, is open back

HE400SE at $56 are a steal. You should buy them.

With the HMS II.3 profile on AutoEQ (of course, for that, you need to use the Rtings measurements, which are done on the HMS II.3), they become very, very bassy (even too much for my liking).

I have the x2hr and hifiman sundara, the x2 are good for gaming, but for music mehh, the he 400se are the superior headphone by far, especially with eq
