no longer functions as sold. they've effectively broken it.How could you possibly challenge them legally?
Chances are, someone already did just that. But not in the direction you think of ...Let's hope WIIM do something before someone challenges them legally![]()
What legal recourse does that allow him, though? Is he going to sue Linkplay/Wiim?no longer functions as sold. they've effectively broken it.
Pretty childish way to go if I'm honest. Have you tried contacting them directly (i.e. not on forums)?Let's hope WIIM do something before someone challenges them legally![]()
I don’t have a Wiim, but if their Terms of Use/License is anything like Sonos’ is, that’s not necessarily an issue for them. This is what I agreed to for my Sonos equipment:no longer functions as sold. they've effectively broken it.
(Emphasis mine.)SONOS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE PRODUCT WILL OPERATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION OR WILL BE ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ALL ERRORS AND OR DEFECTS MAY BE CORRECTED; THAT THE FUNCTIONS, FEATURES, OR SERVICES PERFORMED OR PROVIDED BY, INCLUDING THIRD PARTY FEATURES AND SERVICES, CONTAINED IN THE PRODUCT SOFTWARE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; THAT ANY FEATURES, FUNCTIONS OR SERVICE WILL CONTINUE TO BE MADE AVAILABLE; THAT THE PRODUCT SOFTWARE WILL BE COMPATIBLE OR WORK WITH ANY THIRD PARTY SOFTWARE, APPLICATIONS OR THIRD PARTY SERVICES.

Yep, started tonight over coaxial only. Tried RCA and fine. Tried different power supply, no change, even tried different amp and same thing. Increase delay via resync in the app and no change. WiiM Pro Plus with all updates. Less than 2 months old. I have returned my unit for either repair, replace or refund.My Wiim Amp is making crackling/popping sound noises on each next track.
This happens via Chromecast and Airplay, PCB version 5.
Might return my unit.
Someone else has this issue?

You might be able to connect the sub full range to line out instead of the sub out. Then when you set subwoofer crossover the mains will be high passed but the sub won't be connected.Is it possible to use no low pass on sub out BUT WITH high pass on the speakers?
This actually has been possible for quite some time now. The option is called Subwoofer Bypass Mode (SBM):

Exactly.Ohh! And the speakers are still high passed with that option enabled?
For what purpose? I think it will not work because the USB input is only for USB drives as far as I know. But also, I can not think of a setting where this would make sense.Is it correct that you can use the USB port as audio out?
And connect another Wiim Amp to that?
I.e HDMI arc -> Wiim Amp #1 -> USB -> Wiim Amp#2
