What budget speakers you like to see reviewed?

I don't think he has... (Mind you, S&R results suggest fairly solid performance for a relatively inexpensive 8", with decent dispersion sporting slightly widened treble as you might have guessed from the shallow waveguide. The woofer isn't exactly pure canned level handling - I guess the amplifier isn't the strongest - but they're supposed to be nearfields for maybe 1.5 m distance anyway.)

Considering that Amir got a pair of A7Vs, I’d like to see the HEDD Type 07 mk2 and EVE SC207 reviewed to see how they compare against them.
The HEDD would be an interesting candidate - I haven't seen anyone say anything bad about them, except the poor folks who have had a DSP board fail or two, which seems scarily common - but the SC207 has been around since 2012, and a lot of things have happened in the world of things with AMT tweeters since then... minus a waveguide, they do seem to get pretty wide in the mid-treble, which is probably fine in the nearfield in a decently sound-treated studio but would work less well in a more "hi-fi-like" setting with larger distances. The new SC2070 basically is the same idea on steroids (better drivers and driver integration, deeper bass response, narrower in the vertical and arguably even wider in the horizontal)... purveyors of very wide-dispersion speakers might like it.

Yes, the SC2070 is a better candidate. Even though I'm personally biased towards Adam Audio (I own the A7V), I'm really curious to understand all these arguments. Next year, I'm planning to buy both myself and test them, but Amir's review is Amir's review :D. So, I'm willing to cover the shipping costs for U.S.-based people to send Amir one of these speakers.

Small speakers for kids' bedrooms, like:

Polk Signature Elite S10
Dynaudio Emit 10
Elac Debut ConneX DCB41
Ruark MR1
Q acoustics M20
Kanto Ora
Wharfedale Diamond 9.1
Dali Lektor 1

Focal Sib Evo 2.0

I tried Elac B6.2 and Jbl Stage A130, and were too neutral for me for movieDD and some mp3 internet music. I have reverted back to my Klipsch speakers. Arin and some others have given Klipsch RP series good reviews. I am for bookshelf speakers that have good NEAR FIELD results, with budget of $350 or less. I look for older models or when they have a good sale, lets say.

When reviewers test speakers, they don't mention the recommended room size and if they should be pointed straight out into the room and angled in. That info might be worth mentioning, Erin has sometimes mentioned, but few.

Right now, I wish Klipsch still made their RP-400 and currently considering their RP-500 to stay within budget.

These are my thoughts, and I mostly rely on Erin's and other You Tube reviews, as of 2+years ago, for Klipsch speakers. I might through in PSB too. Again, I am into DD Movies, so, my review perspective is a little different. I have a collection of speakers and have slowly given away, which the last time, was 4 years ago.

Adam D3V - Easily the best so far I have ever auditioned. Personally I take these cheapies in a heartbeat over $$$$ Genelecs/Neumanns/Wharfedales that left me unimpressed.

iLoud Micro Pro - Haven't had a chance to hear one and not exactly budget now with steep price increases over the original, but still.

I have to go back on my word, as went back to the JBL Stage A130, yesterday morning......lol Elac came out with their Debut 3.0, DB62 and good You Tube reviews by Cheapman Audio Man and another fellow. I'm looking at the ELAC Debut 3.0, DB53, 5" woofer, to go on sale. Technical Measurements have some meaning, but listening maybe more important.

Klipsch R-15 , Infinity Reference R263.

Thanks !
I have the Klipsch R-15, for Side Surrounds and to screeching to my ears. I have a free pair if you want to come to the Wisconsin/IL border. I also have the Klipsch R-51M, which is collecting dust and a couple Klipsch Center Channels.

I am thinking it may make sense to buy a few budget but popular speakers to test. Or alternatively members buying and donating them to be tested. :)

So what is "in" these days as far as budget speakers? I am thinking under $200 for a pair.
How 'bout some non-budget speakers in $1000.00 a pair increments, maybe some 3 ways also

The latest little sealed sub-$100 two-way from Dayton Audio (Parts Express). This time they've sprung for an actual -- although very rudimentary -- crossover board instead a single NP electrolytic like previous versions of the idea. Dayton Audio B-65

The front baffle and sides juncture is not really optimal, is it?

I want to second the Chesky LC-1 Bookshelf Monitor. The designer's pedigree is just too interesting to overlook: 3D Audio and Applied Acoustics (3D3A) Laboratory experience, actually playing instruments, and listening to his dad's recordings all his life...

Also, the Ascend Sierra LX and the, reportedly (
) newly revised Philharmonic BMR monitor.

That does not look budget to me.
