I also came across these https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/1005006156695668.html
(Scaling is also 80dB)
These measurements look a bit better eh, except for that big dip that is. The 6.5" measurements' peaks look harsh - but I remember the Gold 7's measured someplace showing on axis anechoic showing such peaks as well but real room measurements flattening those quite a bit.
Going on 50 I wonder if those peaks might end up pleasant XD

This is surprisingly cheap for someone living in the middle of the ocean as shipping is included. I might have to order a pair, even though I haven neither the need nor the space for it.

Some measurements provided by them (unsure of conditions or methodology these were obtained with, and the scale is 80dB, so peaks and dips may be more severe than it may seem at first glance.
These measurements of the Tannoy Gold 7 with the identical looking driver. I can see some similar large 6db+ excursions in the same regions

Don't know if this was mentioned, but the DM40 range is offered in both initial and updated (since 2022) versions:

I would agree on this one, the DM40D seems quite a popular budget speaker in the UK, given you can find it in common retail stores and not just online. Retails for about £150 a pair, and they advertise them as "desktop monitors" so it would be interesting to see the measurements.

DM40D ? please indicate the name of the brand when you post. That's much easier to understand and follow this thread.

Would be keener on the MR5 BT. Not a lot bigger than the MR4, which were excellent but promises a whole lot more power output !
The Klippel curve seems pretty amazing from the published data.

55W total from each speaker, and it comes with an on phone app for additional tweaking !

I know someone who had the KEF LSX and Edifier R2750 and he far preferred the latter.

How about these ones from KRK, they provide some measurements which don't seem too shabby & likely correctable with coarse (low Q) EQ filters, and offered in sizes of woofer from 3 to 8 inches, largest one is $299 per single speaker. Granted there's been inflation in recent years and it's similar in price to JBL 300 Mkii series speakers. At following link article on them:
