great blues:)
Listening to Mr. Otis Taylor on Tidal through Roon software. The second instrumental track is outstanding! Quality is near reference (excellent vocals and bass):

Definitely recommended!

this will stretch out your woofers and immerse you in a huge sound stage, warm organic electronica. i love this:)

Tidal has just the main single: "Do it Again." Lovely music although I suspect my fellow Americans will not like the drum loops :). The bass is a bit shy so had to turn up the volume by 5 db above my standard listening level and now the keys on my keyboard are resonating as I type this. :D Here self titled album has much lower and stronger bass.

back on audiophile terror firma, nicely produced album imo
Man that sax is to die for. So are the bass strings. Typical "discrete" mix of the era but lovely.....

Seems my link came in mid-song. That's OK. Hang through the end of that one, where he brings out Georgie Fame. Watch the next couple of songs, the interplay between Fame and Van. These are guys who've clearly been partners for a long time. It's easy to imagine them drinking wine and winding through a whole day at home, just the two of them, a piano and a guitar. I get goose bumps. Now Georgie isn't exactly the greatest white R&B singer who ever lived....that's Van. :)

Is he really that old? Lovely concert. Had to pause The Voice on TV to watch it. Thanks Tim.

He is. I didn't look up the birth date, but Van is roughly 10 years older than me. I'm 64.

Oops...just checked. He's only 6 years older than me. Must have started very young. That would make him 70 this year.

Wild ♫ passage (music recording). ...But that's what defines Miles's explores.

I like this guy, great sexophonist saxophonist.

* Van Morrison, I really like too. I'm going to spin some right now ... Back on Top

Start @ the very beginning...Astral Weeks, Moondance, Tupelo Honey, Hard Nose the Highway.
If you can feel the way his style resonates, you'll climb the ladder with him...and no matter what.
I say that because I did and because no matter what my best friend is saying about the man (he knows him close personally).
It's the music, the writings, the words, the delivery...that makes a man more than a man. ...His art, and how you respond to it above all else.
Rise up with the man, rise up with Van Morrison and his mystic poetry of the philosopher's stone.
