Recorded in 1957 by Mercury. Excellent cast and interpretation of the Italian translation from the original french with Lachner’s recitatives. Recommended above all recordings of the original. It has a classical austerity and drive not found in more recent recordings.

So many great posts and new suggestions. I thank uze'awl.

I skipped over all of the latest suggestions... well..., only because I am currently busy listening to Sting & Shaggy collaboration that is a great fit for my Thursday.
"44/846" [UK/Jamaica phone exchanges] had won the 2019 Grammy for Best reggae album, which was later rescinded -for being unfit for the reggae category.

TLDR: My mate has little use for Sting, and even less for reggae. She has been away for a family-dig for the last 4 days.
I have had nothing but reggae/african/island/latin music in the house 24/7, ever since she left but today it must come to an end!:(

Lisa Whelchel _ All Because of You. Ya, The girl from The Facts Of Life Gospel Pop Disco album. I had it back in the day in my punk period. Your party is over in your mind, put it on,everyone will be gone in 20 minutes as you praise the album. Audiophile friends over, call it a dead quiet masterpiece.(especially if it's well used) Keep praising as superior to UHQR releases.

Total crap, cheap to find. Only downside is if you have a close friend that gets you. Only happened once. Guy played along to see how long I would listen to it (he kept praising it and agreeing with me.). Got half way through the first side and took it off. Dude was on the floor rolling.

10/10 The greatest album ever. (eat that Nancy Wilson)
