Also, I'd guess the bass on the Hifiman is more pronounced especially at lower volumes, so more "fun" with pop?

My laptop has an analog jack, plug the AKG K371s into that all the time. I'm not a kid, but the Kindle Fire 8 has a weak 3.5mm jack, the Moto smartphone has a weak 3.5mm jack, my Fiio M3K DAP has a weak 3.5mm jack. The AKG K371s are proving to be useful. I suspect a lot of kids have leftover tech.

Bought it last year, new. Acer Aspire* 5. CNETs top choice for a cheap Windows laptop. 15", 1080, great looking display. $350. I'm not regretting it.

* Who the hell calls their product "Aspire"? It's like "I want to be a real computer when I grow up!"

And usually have bad aesthetic taste.

Hell, in that case I think you should get rid of both then, sell/give the 7xx to someone that can appreciate it and then give the easy-to-drive (assuming no EQ bass boost) 400i to your son!

Ha, maybe I want a son then, I don't have any kids! I must have abstracted that onto you talking about "kids"! Garbage cans is good exercise, or instead buy the HEDDphone that Amir reviewed here recently to get your daily exercise when you take it on & off!

I do variations on Stronglifts 5x5, I've got my own power cage. I must say though that I've been using it sparsely for the past 2yrs and not at all for the past 3 months, but I'm still the same weight & not fat.....just gotta start it again.

But be sure that the 7xx get a good home.
