Vera Audio Class-D Amp Build Quality

I see it's been commenting that small companies can't have a rigorous test procedure like big companies.

Well, I guess we're an exception then. Every Vera Audio P150/600 RS and P400/1000 goes through testing with measurements. It will not be released unless it meets certain standards.

The customer can ask about a measurement sheet for his specific model if he wants to.

Soon to be released. Mono block with some serious power combined with very low distortion. And proper cooling in good Vera Audio spirit.

Class D based? Did you make the speakers a commercially available set?
Yes. Hypex NC2K.

Horn speakers or Coherence 12?
We have one pair of the horn speakers available. The Coherence 12 can be ordered and delivered in October.

The M1600 mono block has been released:
Congratulations on the excellent product! Quite a powerful beast, I would say. With this amount of power, how hot, to the touch, do they get after an hour of playing lively music?

(And for us ignorant Americans, what on earth is a NOK? Some funny-sounding currency?)

Thank you.

Have done a test with 2.5 hours with the Coherence 12 speakers. Started with an average level between 85-90 dB at 2.5 m distance. But for the last 40 minutes, volume was increased to an average level above 90 dB with most tracks. So peaks were well above 100 dB at 2.5 m. Music was Infected Mushroom, Astrix, Yahel and 10 minutes with The Flashbulb.
The M1600 didn't warm at all. Only a touch of warmth on one side which (musch less than luke warm), while the Vera Audio P400/1000 got more than luke warm.

Obviously we have simulated and used cooling accordingly, so nothing will come as a surprise here. However, still want to a serious stress test. The 12" woofer in Coherence didn't "make a dent of warmth in the M1600" even at very high levels.

NOK= Norwegian Krone
