I'd like to put miniDSP Flex Balanced into standby when I sleep or shutdown my computer.
  1. Is it hard for manufacturers to implement auto standby feature? KRK GoAux4, KEF LSX II LT, Genelec G Three auto standby perfectly (GoAux4 doesn't wake up from standby though). They all wakeup when I need to, and never went into sleep when audio signal is present. Neumann KH80 had the report of waking up without audio signal:
  2. What would you use for putting miniDSP Flex to standby mode automatically when I sleep my computer? Unforunattely standby command can't be sent from the computer via USB port. https://github.com/mrene/minidsp-rs/issues/663 The GitHub issue I mentioned also has comments for possible solutions. Has anybody tried one of those solutions? If so, what worked the best for you?
    • master slave power strip that detects current drawn from the computer?
    • Or a smart power strip, so that miniDSP can also be turned independently for use with Bluetooth source.
    • Sending IR via a lerning remote some way? (Standby command toggles standby state, so this could wake up miniDSP from standby mode if miniDSP is already turned off?)
