I wish we could make this guy a correct blind test, so that he could not distinguish his favorite SMSL from a budget audio card, and not fool people's heads)))
my new,
not velvet,
I don't know if it's smooth ;)
I don't know as many adjectives as the YT reviewer :p:D

My amplifier is Musical Fidelity M3si.
Can I use 2.5V RCA Voltage?
I can't find it in the amp specs.

Only measurements would tell for sure.
Should I measure by ear or electricity?

How to check the firmware version and if it is older, how to upload it in windows step by step? (I already downloaded 1.04)

Has anyone tried the E70 Velvet. Is it worth the additional $100?

Also, this is my first time getting a DAC. I have Parasound A21 & Dali Rubicon 5 towers. Which topping DAC would you guys recommend?

You cannot measure by ear.
To measure by electricity, I would reduce the volume on the Amp to unity gain, then sweep the input from 0.1V to however much you can output via single ended and look at the Amp's output via FFT. That way you can find the point at which the Amp's input clips.

My Emotiva XDA-2 just died after 9 years of service. Considering replacing it with this. I know the measurements are immaculate, but are there any problems with the features?

That's promised works so far. No problems in my setup.

I think is sounds just fine, no issue there. I find the user interface feels a little unrefined and the remote feels a little cheap and has poor range, the latter is my biggest grip.

For 25 bucks they have a massive Aluminum one. It’s really nice.

Ah, the one easy thing Topping should work on improving and could do if they wanted to.

FWIW I'm using an E70 (Sabre) with my Parasound Hint6 & Dynaudio Contour 30, and I'm very pleased with this combo.

If you're set on going Topping, then definitely get one of the E70 models if you can because they measure among the best of them, and i think you will appreciate being able to use the 12V trigger feature with your Parasound.

I'm open to other DACS but Topping has really great reviews and measurements are good too. I'm just confused between E70 or E70 Velvet.
