Because the source is playing the same music in stereo in other rooms:
PC (M-Audio 2496) > Yamaha S301 (feeding main room and/or 2nd room) > Line (aux) Out via Head-Box-S2 pass-through (stereo dual headphone out) > SMC-1 stereo to mono converter > Fosi Audio ZK-1002D > Monitor Audio (Centre Speaker) + added spare Monitor Mass10 (both playing mono in a small sonically challenged space).
Works fine.
