Okay. I'll up the ante. Whoever correctly guesses the answer to the riddle and can explain why, gets to pick my next avatar for a month.

The drug of choice for audiophiles has got to be statins... Closely followed by viagra. Don't know about the guys at stereophile...I guess you can't count imbalming fluid as a drug ...
Oh enjoy your roast turkey guys! Save a thought for your relatives, I'm sure the feelings of contempt are mutual.
My advice , drink through it then later what the shit hits the fan you can legitimately pretend your asleep! .... Works every time.

I'm Italian American, In our home a bird was always on the menu but the main course is always some special home made pasta.
Tues I made some awesome Cheese Ravioli for today. Nothin like slopping your turkey meat in the pasta sauce on the side. Dinner was fine today!

Going by that cover three things comes to mind, do we get three guesses?
Nostalgia is one choice. So much about records, and tubes and older companies.
Snobbery would be another looking at the price of the gear listed on the cover as well as pictured.
Seeing how that is snobbery however, perhaps money is the real drug of choice.
Finally another thing comes to mind. A fourth choice.
Authority!
They get to determine for the rest of us what is worthy of being recommended. They show themselves as the online Authority. They get to be the gatekeepers. So if I could only pick one it is Authority.
Or in the voice of Cartman of Southpark fame:

Hmmm. I have heard one of these (DCS Rossini) and they are right. It is the best DAC I have heard so far.
Not a very scientific statement, I think...

You guys are overthinking this stuff. Look at the cover again. There's a very clear drug reference in it, IMO.
The cocaine white background....?
Though white red and black are kinda Christmas colours.. They should of put a little green in there.

Never heard the term 420 in that context before. There is a 420 pale ale beer made by folks in Atlanta. Oh and just for the record the dCS is showing 42.0 which obviously a stoner would mistake for 420.
