My current set up is a desktop affair, with speakers on stands either side of the desk. It’s a work in progress.

I don’t know why I’ve not thought about this before, but sat in an office/gaming chair, you’re ears are far higher than if you’re sat on a sofa, or in an armchair.

If my sums are right, I believe I’ll need stands which are 95cm tall. I’ve found some, but they’re thin on the ground.

Is it just me, or do others find this is an issue?

Desk clamp monitor stands seem like an obvious solution:

What speakers do you have? Would something like this work?

No, my desk isn't big enough.

I could have bought a wider desk and put desk stands on it, but I went for a narrower desk and speakers on floor stands.

I always used books for desktop speaker stands. They are adjustable, in plentiful supply and they make for a nice appearance with multicolored arrangements and tapered pillars if that's your thing too. :D

I just use these cheap best sellers from Thomann since almost 10 years for my desktop setup

I guess you'll need to find adjustable stands, or use an object to raise the speakers up,
Or tilt the speakers up
Or there will soon be a larger desk (or maybe just extend that glass part using wood panel instead? )
