My desk is approximately 1.7m x 1.5m in size, and the room is about 3m x 5m x 3m. I'm open to spending some money on basic acoustic treatments, but I'm concerned because the symmetry of my listening environment around the desk is very poor. I'm unsure whether using desktop speakers is a good option in this situation.
This is my room, with a very annoying pillar standing in the left of my desk.
Are there any audiophiles here who have used speakers in acoustically challenging rooms? Would the sound quality be significantly compromised in such an environment?
Thanks for your help!
