Nobody noticed that this thing's Low output is out of phase with the high pass?
See vid.
I heard it as soon as I got it. I'm using it at my CAD station where I do some rough mixing and mastering. Up to that point I just ran both full range. But I wanted to keep the little 3" on the desktop from getting whacked so I go this.
I did pro sound for years and used all the high end pro active xovers. Did sound for everyone from James Brown to Frankie Avalon to Wynton Marsalis to, Arlo Guthrie (interesting story here about that gig:
https://www.ajawamnet.com/ajawamnet/arloandpete.html ,) to the Symphony at the Point series in Pittsburgh's Point State Park.
I'm really sensitive to phase mismatches.
So I got this SX45 thing and put it in the system. Man, it sounded weird. No matter what I dialed in for the xover freq it just sounded strange.
I then benched it as shown in the video link above.
ALSO - I know the phone audio sucks. The stereo mic set up they use leaves a lot to be desired and has phase issues of it's own... nasty. But at least it's not 180 out at all frequencies
