Hello everyone!
I've been lurking for a little while now, and this is my first post. This site is awesome.
have a question regarding power amplifier function. Some power amplifiers have a phase invert button on them. What is the purpose? What is the use?
I'd love to get peoples' thoughts on this. Thanks!

Technically, it's a signal inversion that happens. The polarity of the signal changes when the button is pushed. Plus becomes minus and vice-versa.

Your pic is not a of a power amplifier. That's an integrated amp it seems. You could also do it manually by reversing the two wires....

For example, Accuphase assigns the XLR connectors differently than the rest of the world, which leads to signal inversion with third-party products.
