Spring is coming -- and with it, some semblance of twilight in the evenings again :)

Thanks for the photo, reminds me of my days living in Zambia.
Sitting on the step drinking a beer at dusk in the rainy season, looking at the blood red sky and navy blue clouds.
Don’t think I felt more alive ever.

Looks more like a horse than a cow but crack on.

Thanks for the photo, reminds me of my days living in "Côte d'Ivoire" ("Ivory Coast") Africa.... 1958 > 1972.... Age 6 ----- 20. The name of the country "Ivory Coast" has been chosen because there are many elephants in the North.
Before 1958 I was living in "Togo". My father was working in Africa...
At age 20 I went back to France alone and 2 days after my arrival I met a girl on the beach... and we are still together...

the poor touchpad on that thing sure seems to have seen some finger food battles :D
Peer pressure being what it is on the internet, I am pleased to report that I replaced the textured touchpad sticker on this ancient T430 today :) Patient is recuperating well and seems none the worse for wear for the experience.

Sometimes I think they're just toying with us.

We had families of barred owls living in the forest of the conservation land behind our old house in Harvard, MA.

We have them in the neighborhood here, too -- but nowhere close to the house, as we have much more open field around the house here than we did in MA.

I have a barred owl, a pair of GHOs, and a screech owl living in near residence. The barred and GHOs sit in my trees and hoot at the house. Maybe I should hoot back!

This is a picture taken in - 1890 ? ... I live at 12km ... Tomorrow I'll take the same picture in B&W with my small CANON S95 and I'll post it
so you'll be able to compare...
I've taken a picture of that postal card with my IPhone.

The biggest Cathedral in the world...
Gothic Cathedral of "Our Lady of Amiens" France. The cathedral was built almost entirely between 1220 and 1270.
According to local tradition, Christianity was brought to Amiens in the third century A.D.
"Amiens Cathedral", also called "Notre-Dame d'Amiens" in French is a Gothic cathedral located in the historic city of Amiens, France,
in the Somme River valley north of Paris. It is the largest of the three great Gothic cathedrals built in France during the 13th century, and
it remains the largest in France.
The cathedral has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1981.
600 000 visitors a year...
I've never been to Amiens.......

My personal favorite Gothic cathedral, FWIW.
It's also the (only) one I've actually visited. :)

Meanwhile in not so sunny California, people leave home for another day of life.

Visitor this afternoon. Probably a Cooper's hawk (outside chance it's a female sharp-shinned hawk, though).
