They are re-purposing a real car part.

If you want to buy that muffler for your car it probably costs close to 5k at the Porsche dealer.

It is more of a piece of industrial art that happens to have soundbar functionality.

I've just checked it: the new mufler for 991.2 GT3RS costs ca. 10k euro: https://teile.com/en/porsche-parts-...aust-system/Muffler-911R-GT3RS-40-373KW/49762 while a used one around 3600 euro, so ca $4,200: https://teile.com/en/porsche-parts-...aust-system/Muffler-911R-GT3RS-40-373KW/53896 Adapting it for a soundbar and the audio parts, stand etc. would cost ca $800. Still a lot for a soundbar, I guess, but it looks much better now.
